Volunteer at the Canadian Little League Championship

We all know that a tournament of this size can only be successful if you have great volunteers! We are currently seeking volunteers for a variety of duties over the course of the tournament.

The tournament will be held at the North Regina Little League located at 750 Pasqua Street from August 1st to 10th, 2023. Round robin game times will be daily at 11:30am, 2:30pm and 5:30pm. Semi-finals will be held on August 9th and the final game will be held on August 10th.

This volunteer opportunity is appropriate for everyone aged 14 and older. Please note that a current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector) will be required to volunteer at this event. The Criminal Record Check must be not be any older than August 1, 2022.

We will be reaching out to registered volunteers near the middle of June to confirm availability and specific assignment. Register today to ensure your spot as a volunteer!

Game Specific Duties

Official Pitch Counter: The job of the Pitch Counter is to record the number of pitches for each pitcher during a game.

Official Scorekeeper: The scorekeeper's primary responsibility is to accurately record the score in the game.

Scoreboard Management: This person will manage the remote controls for the scoreboard to ensure the score, pitch count, outs, balls and strikes are accurately reflected on the scoreboard throughout the game.

GameChanger: This person would update the game in real-time in the GameChanger App. You should have expert knowledge in the GameChanger app along with a strong knowledge of score keeping. You will be doing this on your own smartphone.

 

General Duties

Parking Attendant: There will be various parking lots available to fans, buses, volunteers and VIPs. The job of the parking attendant is to direct visitors to the appropriate parking lot.

First Aid Tent: If you have a medical background you may choose to volunteer in the First Aid tent. This includes treating minor injuries and/or directing players to the appropriate medical facility.

Guest Experience: The Guest Experience crew will be responsible for keeping the park in pristine shape for our visitors. This may include working at the welcome tent, greeting guests and helping them find amenities, working in the merchandise tent, cleaning and stocking player dug-outs, picking up garbage, emptying garbage cans, cleaning and supplying washrooms, etc.
