Welcome to North Regina Little League
Season Update – April 25, 2021
We finally have the news you’ve been long waiting to hear. Although we have not heard official word from SHA on the start date for our season, we do feel confident enough to proceed with forming teams and getting those teams out on the practice diamonds.
Here is a look at our tentative timeline:
May 1st or 2nd: Evaluate the last group of players who were unavailable in March due to COVID. More information will be provided shortly for those families involved.
May 5th to 10th: Assign coaches and form teams in all Divisions and Tiers. Coaches meetings, drafts and communication to families will happen during this time.
May 11th onward: Teams will be encouraged to practice outdoors while strictly following the SHA | Baseball Saskatchewan 2021 Return To Train + Play protocols.
Season Start: At this time, we have not received direction from SHA on a season start date. We are currently planning for a start date sometime in June.
Season End: Given the late start to the season, it is unlikely that our season will be finished by the end of June. Families should expect to play into July in order to complete a full 8-week season. Similar to last year, we will do our best to make accommodations to the July schedule so families can enjoy other summer activities while still playing baseball. We will provide more information on this as the details of the season become more clear.
If you withdraw prior to teams being formed (May 4, 2021 at midnight), your Registration Fees will be refunded in full less the $40 Evaluation Fee (if your player evaluated).
If you withdraw after teams have been formed (May 5, 2021) your Registration Fees will be refunded in full less a $30 Administrative Fee and the $40 Evaluation Fee (if your player evaluated).
In summary, you have until May 4, 2021 at midnight to withdraw your player and receive a full refund. Please note that the $40 Evaluation Fee is non-refundable.
Our All-Star selection and development process will begin much earlier to allow players and coaches more time to prepare for the official All-Star season beginning on June 1st.
We are in need of head coaches and assistant coaches for all Divisions, but in particular the younger age groups of T-Ball and Junior Rookie. Please consider volunteering your time this season.
