Mandatory Training
Respect in Sport (RIS) for Activity Leaders is an online educational program to assist coaches and sport leaders in identifying abuse, bullying, harassment and neglect in sport. This is a required program for coaches in the province to help provide a safer and more respectful sporting environment for all participants. The online training program is free of charge for all users.
All coaches, managers and volunteers directly involved with children at North regina are required to complete the RIS program. Once you are certified, your certification never expires. You will be required to provide your RIS number on your coaching application (if you’ve taken it). For more information on Respect in Sport click here.
Optional Training
The NCCP is a game changer. The National Coaching Certification Program gives coaches the training and tools they need to succeed – in coaching and in life. NCCP training gives coaches the skills and self-confidence to excel, and to instil that confidence in their athletes. Ultimately, that’s what NCCP is all about: developing responsible coaches, inspiring future leaders, and celebrating our potential, both on and off the field of play.
NCCP workshops are designed for all types of coaches. Whether you’re thinking about coaching your child’s community team or you’re already the head coach of a national team, the NCCP has workshops to meet your needs.
The National Coaching Certification Program makes it easy to get started and stay motivated on the path towards coaching skills development. Read through the following pages to find the path that’s right for you!
