2026 Regular Season Evaluations

New this year, families will indicate during registration whether their player would like to try out for AAA, AA, or opt out of evaluations and automatically play in the A Division. This is a great option if your player prefers a recreational tier or has consistently played A in the past.

Please note: Intermediate, Junior, and Senior divisions require evaluations, as these levels do not include an A tier.

Trying out for AAA/AA does not guarantee placement—players may still be drafted to an A team based on skill. Once AAA and AA drafts are complete, we will select A-division coaches and draft teams based on address and school location.

Evaluation Process

The purpose of the evaluation process is to ensure players are placed in the appropriate Tier based on their skills, abilities and baseball experience.  This ensures a safe environment for all players and assists in creating a balance of talent and strength among all teams in each Tier.

Evaluations are NOT required for:

  • Players entering T-Ball

  • Players entering Junior Rookie

  • Players in Senior Rookie, Minor, or Major who wish to play in the A (recreational) division

Players in the A division are playing at a recreational level, so evaluations are not necessary.

Evaluations are required for the following divisions:

  • Senior Rookie, Minor, and Major
Players in these divisions must attend evaluations if they wish to play in a competitive AAA or AA tier.

  • Intermediate | Junior | Senior
All players in these divisions are required to evaluate, as these levels do not have tiers and evaluations are used to form balanced teams.

Senior Rookie players will now be evaluated if they wish to play in the AAA or AA competitive tiers. These evaluations will be conducted by volunteers.

Players in Minor and Major divisions who are aiming for the AAA or AA competitive tiers will be evaluated by Independent Evaluators. The use of Independent Evaluators helps ensure a consistent, fair assessment and that players are placed in the tier that best matches their skill level.

Intermediate, Junior, and Senior players are all required to be evaluated, as these divisions do not have tiers.

Evaluations will focus on a player’s ability to field, catch, throw, pitch, and hit a ball.

Based on the evaluation results, players are placed into their appropriate tier (AAA, AA, or A). Even if a player chooses to evaluate for a AAA or AA tier, they may still be placed on an A team depending on the results. Teams are then formed through a draft process conducted by the coaches and the Commissioner of each division. The number of teams in each division will depend on total registration.
